Welcome to my personal blog. I'm a 20 year old computer science student studying at the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies of the Slovak University of Technoogy in Bratislava.
I'm currently focusing on my education and use all my free time to try and perfect my assignments and test scores.
Excluding tech, coding and Linux, which this blog is about, some of my interests include video games, books, music and creating very amateur art.
This is a non-serious project that I'm collaborating on with my ex-partner. It's a silly visual novel using League of Legends characters as protagonists. We are making use of Ren'Py for this project.
This project is now on hold.
This siteI have thought about making my own website for a few months until I actually got to working on it. I think it's an interesting mix of coding, trying to make things look nice and being able to talk about things I find fun.
Pomodoro TimerMy first try at making a little something with JavaScript. Functional Pomodoro timer with start, reset, pause and resume options and a work session counter. Message changes based on the status of the timer. Pretty simple but fun either way.
Keyboard TesterAfter taking online courses in JavaScript and React, I realised I could make a keyboard tester using React with the knowledge I gained. During this project I learned a lot about building React apps from scratch, node package manager and deploying React apps online using GitHub Pages. Took me less than a day to make and deploy even with some user errors throughout.
Passed a semester course about C basics and DSA course with an A grade using only C.
Passed an OOP course. My project was a recreation of the game Palermo Town/Mafia.
I need to use Python for my networking and artificial intelligence courses in university. During my free time, I've made a very simple Discord bot and finished a lot of LeetCode problems in Python.
Currently completing an intermediate online certification course about JavaScript on freeCodeCamp. I have a certificate from Codédex after finishing their beginners and intermediate JavaScript course. I've used it to build a Pomodoro timer and for functionalities on this website, namely the dark and light mode toggle and dropdown menu for mobile users.
Online certification for responsive web design, which taught me basics of HTML and CSS. I use this knowledge to make this site. I've gotten more confident with HTML and CSS through completing a lot of exercises online together with JavaScript.
A JavaScript library. I'm currently completing a certification course from React. I've got a good understanding oF JSX syntax, components, props, useState and event handling.
Passed a course in which I had to write a research paper entirely in LaTeX. When it comes to my second year, I strictly use LaTeX for documentations of my assignments and am profficient enough to get by.
Active user of Ubuntu and Arch Linux with many problem solving situations.
